Heading out, Landing

For weeks ahead of our departure for this five-week trip, people have been asking that typical question: “are you packed yet?” Ha! How can I say, without sarcasm, “ uh, not yet.” Even two to three days ahead, the question, “all ready to go? and “are you excited?” Um, not quite yet. But one day before take-off day, then I’m excited!

Bob’s nonchalant style of preparing for travel used to drive me crazy. But now, I’m used to it and I’ve even adopted some of his last minute packing. I’ve learned to never pre-pack a bag— he will just take it all out and rearrange our two shared bags anyway. So now, my no-stress plan, illustrated with photos.

90 minutes before we leave for the airport…

15 minutes before the Lyft driver will arrive…

Easy flight to SFO, now here we are, soon to be on that plane.

A lovely terrace to go outside while waiting to board.

Great tile mosaic mural at SFO. There was a lot of good public art all throughout the terminals.
