First days in Barcelona

Yes we were. For about an hour. This spotted at our boarding gate!

We had a smooth and unventful flights on IcelandAir for the first time. From Redmond to Seattle, and a very fast turn to the international flight, we landed in Rekyavik after a 7 hour flight. What a small and cozy airport! Super easy passport control, then we had about an hour to wait for the flight to Barcelona.

So far, so good. Until one of our bags didn’t show up. Ugh! The first time for us in a very long while. Bob’s socks and underwear, both of our toiletries, AND our art supplies and kitchen supplies are in that bag. Nothing terribly irreplaceable, but still. An inconvenience.

Nevertheless, we had a lovely first day here. Our apartment is lovely! Spacious “attic” apartment, which means the top of the building, and we have a terrace. We already enjoyed lunch there. Before that, we went out and took part in the 19th annual “Passejada amb Barret” — the Hat Stroll. We knew this was happening in advance. I brought a hat, and convienently, there was another one in the apartment.

After the stroll, we went home, cooked some lunch and enjoyed it on our lovely terrace.
